We had a nice long breakfast with Elin and Peter’s family and started to cycle around 2 pm. Elin joined us all the way to Wej’s friends who live north of Varberg. We believe it is better to make a careful start of this trip so today we only biked around 45 km and at a rather slow pace
The weather was far from nice. Snow, rain or a mix of them all the day and to spice it up a bit some headwind was added too. We have certainly biked in better weather but I guess this is not the worst we will experience before spring arrives somewhere after we exit Poland.
Thank you Elin and Peter for the nice wild boar dinner followed by sauna and beer. We needed that after the hectic start of the trip.

Hi Guys, I don’t think we’ve met. Chris and I left Consortium in 1987 but tried to keep up with news of our fellow Consor via fb. Saw P’Oy’s post about your journey on “Consortium Phanat Nikhom” group. Have to come meet you and to send you our support. Have a great time and safe trip, will follow you all the way home. Take Care. P’June
Thank you very much for your support!!! I worked at the Consortium only the last 3 cycles and it was the best time of my life. It would be nice to meet you two. Wait until the end of the year!!! 🙂
We are in Lansing, Michigan U.S.A. My husband Chris was with the Consortium since the beginning, cycle 1 (ESL sup) but left and return on-off, I started in 1983 with CO cycle 36 and met Chris when he return (for the last time). We married and moved back to U.S. in 1987. I am a registered nurse and Chris a professor of medicine. I agreed that the time at the Consortium was the best time. We met so many friends there. We have lost touch until fb come along and reunite us again.
I told Chris about your journeys, he send his support and wanted to know your route. Chris said some of the areas can be rough and to tell you guys to be careful. I will tried to keep up with your post. Take care. —–P’June
45 km is a good easy distance. 60 is the longest if it is on gravel… Good desicion!! <3
